I along with many others live at Lambeth House needless to say we are going through a dreadfully sad experience. We cannot leave the premises and some who have tested positive for the coronavirus cannot leave their apartments.
Some of us who can walk around the parking lot for exercise. Lambeth is located at 150 Broadway (NOLA 70118). To our delight we have discovered a hawks nest at the top of an oak tree, right in front of a frame shop across Broadway from our parking lot. We would like to know what kind of hawks they are. I think red shouldered but I’m not sure.My number is 504-913-4320. Thank you, Aggie Richards

Hi Aggie,

I’m just learning about the blog features of our new website. Sorry for the delay in my reply. My guess is they are Red-shouldered Hawks, based upon the timing. The only other possibility would be Cooper’s Hawk, but they usually nest later.
